- Stone Mountain State Park: This park is home to the 600-foot granite dome that is a designated National Natural Landmark and the historic Hutchinson Homestead, a restored mid-19th-century farm situated at the mountain base.
- Short drive to over 25 local & state parks: There are a variety of local & state parks with fun activities like disc golf, picnic areas, hikes, and more in the county.
- New River State Park: This state park covers seven accesses along the New River for launching kayaks and inner tubes to paddle or float along the shallow, gentle river.
